What Our Customers Say
Real reviews from homeowners and businesses across the greater Phoenix area.
Hard Water and the Age of Apache Junction Plumbing
Apache Junction gets its water from two providers, depending on the address: the Apache Junction Water District on Superstition Boulevard and Arizona Water Company. The water district blends groundwater from the Eastern Salt River Sub-Basin Aquifer with Colorado River water delivered by the Central Arizona Project, treated at the Superstition Area Water Plant. The district says that blended water counts as hard under the EPA classification, at greater than 10.5 grains per gallon. Your bill tells you which provider serves your home.
Hard water leaves scale inside water heaters and wears on fittings, valves and braided supply lines over time. Combine that with the age of local housing, a median build year of 1994 with 40.9 percent of units built before 1990, and many homes now have water heaters, hoses and connections at the point where they tend to fail.
One more detail for older homes: polybutylene supply pipe was made from 1978 to mid-1995, a window that covers much of the city's 1980s and 1990s building. That does not mean a given home has it. Only a look at the pipe tells you, and a plumber is the right person to judge it.
Apache Junction restoration servicesBurst Pipe and Plumbing Failures We See in Apache Junction
Six sources account for most plumbing water we clean up locally.
Supply Lines Under Manufactured Homes
In a manufactured home, much of the supply plumbing runs under the floor, inside the underbelly. A split line there can soak the insulation and subfloor for a long time before the floor feels soft.
Water Heater Leak in Apache Junction Homes
A tank that leaks at the base or a relief line that runs can wet a closet, the floor around it and the wall behind it. Mineral scale building up inside the tank speeds that wear.
Slab Leaks in Site-Built Houses
Most site-built homes here sit on concrete slabs. When a line under the slab fails, water rises through the floor, often under carpet or wood where it hides.
Appliance and Fixture Hoses
Washing machine hoses, ice-maker lines, dishwasher connections and toilet supply lines fail suddenly and can run until someone notices.
Irrigation and Outdoor Lines
Yard irrigation and hose bib lines can leak toward a slab edge or under skirting, and that water ends up inside.
Homes Left Closed for the Summer
A small drip in a home that sits empty from spring to fall can run for months. That is common in a town with so many seasonal residents.

How Burst Pipe Cleanup in Apache Junction Works
Plumbing repair belongs to a licensed plumber. The restoration work is ours.
- Step 1
Shut Off the Water
Close the main shutoff for the home or the valve on the failed fixture, then call a plumber to stop the leak.
- Step 2
Call Our Line
We answer live and ask what failed, how long it ran and whether the home is a manufactured home or site-built.
- Step 3
Remove the Water
Standing water comes out of floors and, on a manufactured home, out of the belly wrap. Soaked carpet pad and insulation are removed.
- Step 4
Measure and Dry
We map moisture in walls, cabinets, subfloor and slab, then dry until readings match an unaffected area.
- Step 5
Replace What the Water Ruined
Once everything reads dry, the subfloor, drywall, panels or flooring we removed are put back as the final step of the water damage job.
Before You Leave for the Summer
Seasonal residents are a big part of town; a 2008 city study put the winter population at nearly 50,000 people. If you head north each spring, these steps help reduce the chance of coming back to a wet floor:
- Close the main water shutoff to the home
- Turn the water heater off or to its vacation setting
- Shut the valves to the washer, ice maker and toilets
- Leave a key and our number with a neighbor or the park office
- Ask someone to check inside the home now and then
- Look under sinks and behind the washer for drips before you go
If a neighbor finds water while you are away, they can call us, and you can authorize the work by phone.
Broken Pipe Water Damage in Apache Junction: What Gets Removed
Water from a supply line starts clean, but it does not stay that way for long once it sits in carpet, pad and insulation. The longer a leak ran, the more material usually has to come out. A slab leak in Apache Junction can also wet the bottom of walls and cabinets several feet from where the water surfaced.
We take out only what readings and condition say must go, and we tell you each item before we remove it. Everything is photographed and logged for your insurance file. Your carrier decides what is covered.
Materials We Check First
- Carpet pad and the subfloor beneath it
- Belly insulation on manufactured homes
- The bottom of drywall or wall panels
- Cabinet bases and toe kicks
- Flooring laid over a wet slab
